Cloudflare: checks before adopting the new abuse dashboard

On October 2, 2026, Cloudflare announced a new Account Abuse Protection dashboard. The announcement is dated the same day.

Availability and audience

The documentation specifies Early Access for Bot Management Enterprise; check regional limitations of individual mechanisms separately. This is relevant to advertisers and site owners operating registration flows. It is an external product, not a new AffiliateCore feature. An announcement is not permission to activate blocking everywhere automatically.

Our editorial interpretation

Separate observation, account investigation and access restriction before a pilot. A risk signal should not automatically become a rejected affiliate conversion. Rejection needs a verifiable reason consistent with agreed conditions.

Start with one clearly defined signup or login flow. Assign an owner and record baseline successful actions and support contacts. Check that a technical login failure is not being treated as established user deception. Limit access to underlying information to people who need it for investigation.

A limited pilot checklist

  • Describe normal behaviour and exceptions: repeated login attempts, device changes and shared networks.
  • Separate detections, investigated incidents and confirmed violations; state each metric's denominator.
  • Measure incorrect restrictions within the reviewed sample instead of calling every unreviewed signal fraud.
  • Record investigation time, an appeal path and a stopping condition when ordinary users lose access.

Compare equivalent time windows and traffic sources. If conversion approval changes alongside new rules, investigate the filter's effect rather than automatically blaming the publisher. Absence of a signal does not prove absence of abuse either.

The useful outcome is a reproducible decision with recorded reasons, not the largest block count. See our traffic-quality guide when preparing partner conditions. These recommendations are editorial analysis, not claims about product effectiveness or customer results.
