Cloudflare Stream starts WebRTC delivery billing

On 15 October 2026 Cloudflare announced general availability for Stream WebRTC and started delivery billing that day. Checked on 16 October, this update concerns teams using the external service for live broadcasts. It is not an AffiliateCore feature or permission to advertise every product in every country.

Revisit the budget

The official pricing page lists USD 1 per 1,000 minutes delivered to viewers. These are actual tariff dollars, not a localized teaching budget. Broadcast duration alone is not delivery volume: aggregate delivery across viewers. The documentation also says WebRTC broadcasts cannot currently be recorded in this mode; a promised replay requires a separately verified solution.

Our editorial conclusion is that former beta users should review their budget before the next broadcast. General availability does not establish latency on a particular audience's network or guarantee additional leads.

Check before going live

Assign a spending owner and retain the initial usage report. Run a short authorized rehearsal without personal data: test audio, mobile playback, the target region's network and a failure scenario. If a replay was promised, separately verify recording and storage rights. Include presenter time, preparation, support and any additional services in the full cost.

Reconcile actual delivery with billing, and leads with a separate acceptance process. A video minute is not an accepted conversion. Do not expand the audience until cost and reliability meet written limits; if the service is unavailable, use an eligible alternative format without bypassing restrictions.

For the partner step, sign in to AffiliateCore and check conditions of an offer actually available to you. Stream handles broadcasting; partner outcomes still need their own verified attribution and acceptance path.
