Forum: agree on a review process before publishing

Meta’s October 22–23 announcement describes shared scheduling and rule-checking for pending posts. Forum availability is stated for the US.

For teams already running a community, this is a reason to agree on publishing responsibilities. The following is our editorial procedure, not an interface tutorial. Start with one draft and name the person who makes the final decision.

Four checks before publishing

  1. Define the task. Record the reader’s question, the useful answer, the draft owner and the reviewer. Set a decision time with its time zone. Check your account’s actual capabilities before changing the team’s process.
  2. Read without following the link. The post should deliver its promised answer. Verify claims, disclose commercial interests and inspect the destination separately. Keep members’ personal information out of the working record.
  3. Record a decision. Choose publish, revise or defer. Give a specific reason and assign the next action. When a concern is ambiguous, ask a person to review it and retain the original draft for comparison.
  4. Check the published result. Compare it with the approved version, follow the link and look for duplicate posts. Record any error and assign a repeat check. Views should not be recorded as confirmed leads.

Two illustrative scenarios

Two authors answer the same question. Suppose both have prepared Monday posts. Combine the useful sections, appoint one owner and remove the second item from the working plan. This is an editorial decision, not a description of a Forum button.

The link raises a concern. Suppose its destination makes a different promise. Defer publication, clarify the conditions with the draft owner and repeat the check after correction.

Copyable record

Topic; reader question; author; reviewer; version; destination; commercial interest; decision and reason; time and zone; next action; repeat-check result.

For an AffiliateCore campaign, sign in to your publisher account and compare the link with the offer’s conditions. This is a separate check; no Forum integration is claimed.

Scenarios are hypothetical. Source checked October 26, 2026: Meta announcement.
