Yandex PromoPages: when an article improves qualified enquiries

Start with the question preventing an enquiry

An advertising article can help when a buyer needs to understand a choice before speaking to sales. They may need to decide whether a small workshop needs scheduling software, or which measurements a fitted-furniture supplier requires. If they already know the model and only want stock availability, a long article may delay them. The advertiser's task is to establish the value of that intermediate step, rather than maximize completed reads at any cost.

This guide concerns the Russian market. Official Yandex documentation was checked on 18 October 2026; an English adaptation does not establish availability elsewhere. PromoPages is treated as a specific journey: advertisement → article → website → enquiry review. This is not a general guide to buying Yandex Advertising Network traffic. Verify the account, product and advertising eligibility before launch, without circumventing restrictions.

Both scenarios are invented teaching models. USD figures are independent assumptions, not platform prices, customer results or return promises. They measure advertiser expenditure and CRM outcomes. Software purchases, furniture orders and qualified enquiries below do not establish supported payable events in AffiliateCore.

Decide whether the additional step is necessary

Write one obstacle: “The reader cannot tell when a spreadsheet is enough and when scheduling software becomes useful.” The article should provide decision criteria and allow a reasonable decision against buying. A long company history is not a substitute. After reading, someone should be able to describe their requirements, limitations and next step even if they choose another solution.

Collect five genuine sales questions with personal information removed. Separate questions that an explanation resolves from those requiring an individual quotation. Put the first group in the article and route the second to a clearly described consultation. If almost every question concerns price and stock, improve the landing page before commissioning a long article.

Record an alternative route: an appropriate advertisement leading directly to the same landing page. This may involve a separate advertising purchase and different traffic costs, rather than random assignment within PromoPages. A comparison can guide the next decision but cannot prove the article caused better results unless audiences and conditions are comparable. Retain that limitation in the final report.

Prepare the brief before allocating media budget

The brief identifies the audience, specific problem, substantiated claims, exclusions, product version, next step and person accountable for facts. List rights to photographs, diagrams and interface demonstrations separately. Adding “example” does not turn a fictional testimonial into acceptable customer evidence; explicitly distinguish an educational scenario from a customer's experience.

A practical outline is: reader situation; three selection criteria; process demonstration; unsuitable uses; information to prepare; transition to the matching page. Assign a question and answer to each section. This lets an editor remove paragraphs that do not change understanding. The advertising article's length depends on its purpose and the platform editor's requirements, not on the length of this instructional guide.

A teaching passage for scheduling software might say: “For one person handling a few appointments each week, a shared calendar may be enough. With several staff, first check allocation, permissions and rescheduling. Prepare your team size and current booking method for the demonstration.” It promises neither revenue growth nor an integration that has not been verified.

Prepare two honest headlines with the same substantive promise, an authorized cover, an original diagram and a product screen without customer data. “Check scheduling for three staff members” is more defensible than “The secret to doubling sales.” Retain versions and evidence. Review the official publication requirements and article editor.

With that brief ready, you can register as an advertiser to discuss a separate partner channel. This does not connect PromoPages or confirm offers, partners or support for a particular payable event. Verify terms and implementation first.

Keep the promise intact through the transition

Teaching journey: a headline promises criteria → the article explains a choice → the call to action offers a relevant demonstration → the landing page repeats the conditions → the form asks only necessary questions → the CRM checks suitability. Sending a reader from a scheduling explanation to a generic catalogue loses context. A more aggressive button does not fix that mismatch.

Scroll2Site is Yandex's article-to-destination mechanism. Before launch, verify activation, destination and invitation text on mobile and desktop. Scrolling is not consent to submit an enquiry. A transition and a submitted form remain separate actions. Consult the Scroll2Site documentation.

Official pages contain inconsistent wording about billing for fast transitions. This guide therefore makes no universal “free before a particular second” claim. Record the strategy and fast-action setting and verify the applicable account or support terms before payment. The examples use actual campaign expenditure rather than reconstructing an invoice from all recorded clicks.

Separate optimization, billing and spend limits

Open campaign creation and use a name identifying the hypothesis and article version. Select an available strategy, geography and placements, then check the schedule and interface time zone. An optimization goal's name does not mean payment is tied to a confirmed business enquiry. Record separately what the system optimizes, what triggers charges and what limits total spending.

An average daily budget is not necessarily a hard ceiling for every day. Check the overall limit and the selected strategy's terms. Do not copy minimum bids from an old presentation. The fictional budgets below illustrate economic analysis, not guaranteed purchasing eligibility for that amount in a particular account. See campaign types and campaign creation.

Connect an authorized website counter and an agreed goal. An internal test checks page loading, a single recorded submission and arrival in the CRM. Mark it as a test and exclude it from economics; do not generate a payable affiliate conversion. Obtain missing counter access from its owner rather than borrowing another person's credentials.

Verify placements in PromoPages itself. Search and network inventory use different signals; exclusions from an ordinary search campaign should not be mechanically applied to an educational article. See Search and network placements. Keep the first test focused on one reader question and one landing page so that the causes remain inspectable.

Reconcile reports without combining unlike measures

Teaching sequence: impressions → article opens → completed reads → external transitions → website visits → forms → unique enquiries → qualified enquiries → accepted after review. Transitions are not visits, and accepted enquiries are not revenue. Every CRM enquiry needs an identifier, date, material version, source, status, rejection reason and final reconciliation date.

PromoPages and Metrica may differ in included traffic and the date assigned to a conversion. Align the observation window and date presentation before comparing reports. Do not compare an immature cohort with a mature one. Keep organic enquiries and unknown sources separate. Consult statistics definitions and Metrica connection guidance.

Check that campaign parameters survive permitted redirects, without layering another set over automatically generated tagging. This guide's internal AffiliateCore links use only the language parameter, without acquisition tags. Never place phone numbers, email addresses or other personal data in analytics URLs. Set permissions and consent according to applicable requirements.

Scenario one: an article qualifies demonstration requests

For this teaching test, qualification requires an enquiry from the preselected serviceable region of Russia, a team of 2–10 people and a genuine need to allocate appointments. The 20 unsuitable enquiries fail at least one condition. Acceptance adds a verified contact, an agreed demonstration time and an agreed meeting task: 60 meet these criteria, while ten qualified enquiries decline scheduling. The demonstration is not treated as a paid service; acceptance proves neither attendance nor purchase.

An invented scheduling-software supplier demonstrates a task rather than promising earnings. Its article includes a three-person workday diagram, a rescheduling example and connection limitations. The landing page offers the same demonstration. The form asks team size, current booking method and a contact for the agreed response. Demonstration records are fictional and explicitly labelled.

Intake lasts 28 days; final reconciliation is day 58, thirty days after intake ends. There are 4,000 article opens, 2,000 completed reads and 800 external transitions; Metrica records 720 visits. Different measures do not establish 80 lost buyers. Investigate loading, consent settings and report definitions. The CRM contains 100 forms: ten duplicates and 20 unsuitable unique enquiries. Seventy qualify; ten decline before the meeting and 60 are accepted after review. None remain pending at reconciliation.

Full costs are actual media USD 600, research and writing USD 150, images USD 60, landing page and measurement USD 90, handling USD 120, and assumed non-recoverable taxes and fees USD 80. Total: USD 1,100. Handling the ten declined enquiries is included; there are no trips, paid reservations or additional charges. Fixed rent is excluded, so later contribution must not be described as net profit.

Accepted-enquiry cost is 1,100 / 60 = USD 18.33. Post-qualification decline rate is 10/70 = 14.29%. The teaching limits are USD 20 per accepted enquiry and 20% declines. Both pass. This does not yet establish payback: an enquiry is not a payment and cannot simply be multiplied by product price.

Twenty-five of the 60 accepted enquiries become purchases; the other 35 close without buying. Three purchases are fully refunded, leaving 22 retained purchases. Each retained purchase contributes USD 120 revenue and costs USD 40 to fulfil. Refunded purchases incur an additional USD 60 loss. Contribution is 22 × (120 − 40) − 60 = USD 1,700. After acquisition, USD 600 remains before fixed overhead. Refunds are 3/25 = 12%, below the teaching stop threshold of 15%. Covering acquisition and refund losses requires at least 15 retained purchases at unchanged assumptions.

Decision: repeat a limited test rather than declare the article universally superior. A comparable direct route is needed to investigate its added value. First-version production costs are fully charged to this test; reuse does not make labour free or justify charging the same cost twice. Expansion requires another mature cohort, passing thresholds and adequate sales-team capacity.

Scenario two: interest does not repay the extra step

Furniture qualification is identical for both routes: the city is in the declared service area, the customer needs a made-to-measure wardrobe for an eligible premises type, and initial niche width and height have been provided. Acceptance additionally requires a verified contact and agreement to discuss the quotation: 50 for A and 60 for B. Initial measurements do not replace specialist technical verification. Twenty and ten qualified enquiries respectively decline the agreed follow-up; acceptance does not imply a purchase.

An invented furniture maker publishes “Measurements to prepare for a fitted wardrobe.” Materials include an original measuring diagram, authorized detail photographs, fulfilment conditions and installation exclusions. The form asks width, height, city and contact; a specialist checks complex measurements. The article neither promises a final price without assessment nor hides chargeable work.

Two separate campaigns run for 28 days and reconcile on day 58. Route A uses the article; route B leads directly to the landing page. This is an operational comparison, not a randomized experiment: auctions and audiences may differ. A generates 120 forms, 20 duplicates, 30 unsuitable enquiries, 70 qualified, 20 declined and 50 accepted. B generates 100 forms, ten duplicates, 20 unsuitable, 70 qualified, ten declined and 60 accepted. Neither cohort has pending enquiries.

A costs media USD 800, research and article USD 240, images USD 80, landing and measurement USD 100, handling USD 140, taxes and fees USD 140: USD 1,500 total. B costs media USD 700, advertisement text USD 80, images USD 40, its separate share of landing and measurement USD 80, handling USD 120, taxes and fees USD 80: USD 1,100 total. Shared work is allocated once across those shares, not duplicated.

Accepted-enquiry cost is USD 30 for A and USD 18.33 for B. Declines after qualification are 20/70 = 28.57% for A and 10/70 = 14.29% for B. With a USD 22 ceiling and a 25% decline threshold, A fails both and B passes. Decline handling is included; the exercise assumes no pre-order travel, purchases or other unrecovered losses.

A receives 18 payments and two full refunds, retaining 16. B receives 20 payments and one refund, retaining 19. Each retained purchase has USD 200 revenue and USD 120 variable cost. Additional refund losses are USD 40 for A and USD 20 for B. After acquisition, A returns 16 × 80 − 40 − 1,500 = negative USD 260; B returns 19 × 80 − 20 − 1,100 = USD 400. The remaining accepted enquiries close without payment: 32 for A and 40 for B. Refund rates are 2/18 = 11.11% and 1/20 = 5%, both below 15%.

Break-even requires 20 retained purchases for A and 14 for B at unchanged assumptions. Stop expanding A and examine why readers are not ready to order. The article may satisfy curiosity without explaining territory or minimum scope. Do not remove exclusions to increase completed reads. Rewrite one problematic section and retest within a limit; B remains a reference point, not causal proof.

Find the stage where quality is lost

Strong headline response with weak reading suggests an expectation or opening-screen problem. Strong reading with weak transitions calls for examining the next step. Transitions without visits require technical investigation. Forms without qualification require reviewing audience fit and criteria. Each has a different remedy; increasing bids alone does not resolve them all.

Reading and exit maps can suggest editorial hypotheses. A red area near a link may indicate a website transition, so reconcile actions first. Do not rewrite from a handful of incidental views. Preserve the earlier version, change one meaningful element and allow time for enquiry quality to mature.

AffiliateCore boundaries and the practical assignment

AffiliateCore is our general CPA network for advertisers and publishers. It does not replace the PromoPages editor or promise an automatic connection. Enquiries, software sales and furniture orders above are CRM business metrics; support for corresponding payable AffiliateCore events is not confirmed. Registration enables neither service-sale nor ecommerce/CPS. Do not relabel a sale as reg, ftd, deposit or revenue to imply support.

For a separate partner channel, verify the event, commercial terms, permitted source and implementation. Existing users can sign in to the advertiser account and compare the available workflow with their brief. If an appropriate process is unavailable, use direct advertising and your CRM; do not promise partners payment for unsupported actions.

Your assignment is one verified brief, an article with clear exclusions, a matching landing page, a status ledger and a two-route calculation. Before expansion, establish full costs, closed rejections, observation windows, cancellations and source attribution for each accepted enquiry. An article deserves budget when it improves the business outcome under those checks, rather than merely keeping readers occupied.

Lead review: statuses, deadlines and disputed decisions. Creator placements: the brief, asset rights and acceptance checks.
