A thematic partnership: one useful resource from two independent communities

Two communities can solve a shared reader problem while retaining different expertise and editorial judgment. Sewing enthusiasts might explain how to describe a change in stitching; a repair community can help formulate questions for a workshop. Together they produce an openly available observation sheet. Each editorial team controls its own publication, specialists review each other's contributions, and moderators agree on discussion boundaries. Any commercial recommendation needs a separate check.

This guide is for a publisher organizing that partnership in Russia. The deliverables are a joint resource, two independent approvals, a cost register, and reconciliation without duplicate commission. The unit of work is a shared editorial project. Buying a feed placement or running your own regular channel serves a different purpose.

Both scenarios are entirely educational: communities, results, and contractual terms are hypothetical. No real placement permission has been obtained. USD amounts are independent illustrative budget assumptions, not exchange-rate conversions, platform prices, or AffiliateCore results. The rules research is dated October 18, 2026; it does not establish approval for a particular publication.

Contents

1. Choose two independent editorial teams

Start with one task requiring both parties. Each must contribute substantive material, review its partner's work, and assign a moderator. If the second party merely publishes a finished text for money, this is an ordinary placement. Two accounts belonging to one owner do not constitute an independent partnership either.

Check ownership, approvers' authority, subject matter, service geography, and specialists' actual competence. Read five recent substantive publications from each community. Look for complementary questions: what can the first audience observe and the second explain? Equal follower counts are unnecessary. What matters is each team's ability to reject incorrect advice or an unsuitable offer on reasonable grounds.

Create a partner card recording the reader's task, A's contribution, B's contribution, each expert and moderator, unknown information, and selection rationale. Aggregate statistics help estimate workload but cannot establish audience independence. Do not request membership exports to identify overlap.

The resource must work without a commercial step: readers get a usable sheet, field explanations, and a completed example. Requiring people to join both groups and leave a phone number to obtain a promised file changes the project and needs different checks. Here the file and explanation are freely accessible.

2. Check the format and permission boundaries

OK groups provide the specific platform reference. Official help on groups and administration describes relevant tools. It does not authorize every joint commercial project. Verify administrator authority and partnership approval separately with both editorial teams.

Do not combine OK advertising formats. The native advertising definition, updated April 2, 2026, describes a paid thematic brand mention. The requirements dated April 3, 2026 prohibit external links and calls to act on the advertiser's website in that format. Useful content does not remove those restrictions.

The group content requirements, version June 3, 2025, address author advertising separately in clauses 1.11, 2.4, and 2.6, including labeling and links. These provisions cannot be transferred to native advertising. Clause 4.4.1 restricts doorway pages; 4.4.4 concerns links to product or service descriptions. Neither grants blanket permission for affiliate redirects. Consider clauses 5.18, 6.2, 7.4, 7.5, and 8.3.8 when checking contacts, automated collection, substitution, and advertising share. The license agreement, clauses 5.16 and 7.4.22, also restricts information exports, unauthorized automated collection, and spam.

Three independent checks are therefore needed: platform rules, each community's consent to the exact version, and advertiser terms. Exchanging labor does not establish that a project is noncommercial. Determine applicable disclosure, identifier, and reporting requirements before commercial publication. A historical format announcement does not establish current account availability.

If you choose OK's native format, the external commercial CTA in these examples cannot be used. For another format, verify actual availability, the destination, and the entire route. Until confirmed, do not activate the commercial route; assess the standalone resource by its actual content too. Moving a link into comments or private messages does not replace permission.

3. Agree on the resource and responsibilities

Prepare one project specification. Record both community URLs, owners, approvers, topic, versions, dates, file rights, permitted publication locations, and correction and withdrawal procedures. Each party approves its own copy separately. Silence from the second administrator is not consent; approval of a text does not automatically cover a changed link.

The working package contains the shared open sheet, a completed fictional example, two audience-specific introductions, and moderator guidance. Expert A reviews B's factual contribution and expert B reviews A's. Record comments and resolutions. If competence is insufficient, bring in another specialist at a separately recorded cost. Calling someone an expert does not verify qualifications.

The moderator guidance states which questions can be discussed publicly, which need a specialist, who removes personal data, and who receives factual corrections. A guest specialist responds during agreed hours; the local moderator retains control. There is no need to share passwords. Criticism of a service does not become a violation merely because a commercial relationship exists.

Record financial arrangements separately: who pays for both teams' work, who receives the single commission, and how costs, surplus, and late reversals are allocated. Reciprocal work has value even without money changing hands. Costs already incurred remain after a stop; count a promised refund only after documented receipt.

4. Run a limited test

Set an overall spending limit and an inquiry collection period before publication. The exercises use 14 days, with final reconciliation on day 28. Later inquiries form a new cohort; the latest inquiries receive a full 14 days for verification. These are hypothetical external program terms, not a platform standard.

First freeze the useful resource and obtain both editorial reviews. Then separately approve commercial elements, rights, and disclosure. Check both publications on a phone: complete sheet, clear limitations, correct version, accessible page. Perform any technical event check by agreement and without payment. A fictitious inquiry is not a campaign result.

For implementation through our AffiliateCore platform, you can first prepare a publisher profile, describing both communities, responsibilities, and measurement. AffiliateCore is a general CPA network for advertisers and publishers across permitted verticals. Suitability requires a verified offer, source, geography, and actually supported payable event. Registration guarantees none of these.

The calculations below relate exclusively to hypothetical direct programs operated by service businesses with an external register. They make no claim that AffiliateCore pays for service inquiries, retail purchases, or software demonstrations. Transfer requires confirmed support for the exact event and route. An inquiry cannot be renamed a registration or deposit to manufacture compatibility.

After two independent approvals, publish the agreed versions, record dates, and check errors, workload, and limits daily. Withdrawal by one party stops the relevant commercial publication. Continuing the other requires a fresh assessment because the shared structure and economics have changed.

5. Separate cohorts without duplicate commission

Educational accounting model: resource A and resource B → separately authorized route → one inquiry to the provider → one ID → verification → one financial decision. This model does not prove that an OK link is permitted.

Distinguish views, measured visits, and accepted inquiries. Views of two publications cannot be added as unique people. A, B, and AB describe only observed, permissible touchpoints: A only, B only, or both. They neither establish group membership nor prove that someone never saw the other publication.

In this exercise, the provider lawfully retains project and material codes when someone reaches its own substantive page. The touchpoint window is seven days before the inquiry. This capability is a condition of the external contract that must be verified. If two touches cannot be linked lawfully and reliably, AB remains unknown. Do not reconstruct paths from profiles, IP addresses, or moderator guesses. Check technical conditions and the necessary processing basis beforehand.

The provider deduplicates the same person's same request within 30 days, including earlier inquiries. Contact information stays with the provider. Partners receive an anonymized ID, cohort, dates, status, reason, and amount. Public comments are not a contact database. Unknown origin stays separate: it earns no partnership commission in these exercises, but does not indicate poor inquiry quality.

Define the service, area, voluntary nature of the request, confirmation procedure, and rejection reasons in advance. A shared IP does not prove duplication. Keep disputed statuses open until resolved and set a review deadline. Reasons are mutually exclusive; a cancellation returns to its original cohort.

Educational settlement model: the provider pays one commission to one contractual project recipient. Recorded costs are covered from total revenue; the remaining surplus or agreed loss is split equally. The contract must permit this arrangement. A and B never resubmit one ID. AB supports analysis of two touches, not two payments. Cohort outcomes do not prove incremental causation without separate research.

6. Scenario 1: sewing and repairing belongings

Two hypothetical independent communities in one Russian city are household sewing enthusiasts A and repair advocates B. Their shared task is describing a sewing-machine problem clearly. A's specialist prepares observations: model, fabric type, changed stitching, and when the problem appears. B's specialist adds questions about diagnosis, the estimate, and approval of work. Both review the example; local moderators independently approve their versions.

A resource excerpt: “Describe what you observe in your own words and check permitted actions against the manufacturer's manual. Note when the change occurs and what you have already checked. Do not dismantle electrical components for a discussion. Comments do not need your phone number, address, or serial number.” The example uses fictional data and the full sheet is open. One moderator gathers questions about describing symptoms; the other checks whether estimate questions are understandable. Both contribute to one tool, without buying placement slots or impressions.

Any separate commercial element requires the checks in section 2. It identifies the provider, service area, voluntary inquiry terms, and commercial relationship. An external link cannot be added to OK native advertising. No real community or business has approved anything here; the calculation assumes an authorized route.

Full project costs in USD:

  • Joint editing: 14 hours × $10 = $140.
  • Experts A and B: 4 hours each × $15 = $120.
  • Moderation A and B: 5 hours each × $8 = $80.
  • Design: $30; tools: $20.
  • Coordination and reconciliation: 5 hours × $10 = $50.
  • Rights and administrative obligations: $20.

Total: $460. Both editorial teams' labor is included; there is no placement purchase. Here and below, invoices are final, including charged taxes and fees, with no other mandatory costs assumed. Add real extra charges before deciding. The result is before participants' income tax. Historical community-building costs are unknown: this measures project economics, not lifetime community payback.

Over 14 days, 80 records arrive. Remove 12 duplicates; eight unique inquiries have unknown origin. The payable reconciliation contains 60: A 24, B 20, AB 16. Exclusions are eight outside the service area, six for a different service, and six withdrawn before final acceptance. Accepted inquiries total 40: A 16, B 13, AB 11. None remain pending in this reconciliation. The eight unattributed inquiries are neither assigned to partners nor paid to the project under the exercise's terms.

At one commission of $20, revenue is $800; revenue minus costs is +$340. Cost per accepted inquiry is $460 ÷ 40 = $11.50. After covering costs, each party receives $170. This internal allocation is no additional advertiser commission. The 11 accepted AB inquiries generate $220 altogether, not $220 per team.

Break-even requires 23 accepted results. To retain 20% of revenue, allowable cost is $16 per accepted result, requiring at least 29. Five late cancellations—two A, one B, two AB—leave 35: revenue $700, result +$240, cost per accepted inquiry $13.14. Each AB cancellation is reversed once. The decision is one comparable repeat after reconciliation if both permissions and both teams' available hours remain valid. One profitable project does not prove repeatability.

The accepted-touch reports show 27 for A and 24 for B. Their union is 27 + 24 − 11 = 40. Adding them as 51 would overstate commission by $220.

7. Scenario 2: city cycling and cycle touring

The second hypothetical pair comprises adult urban cyclists A and adult cycle tourists B within one serviced Russian region. Their shared resource is a question sheet for a workshop before seasonal servicing. A's expert explains how to describe changes noticed in daily riding. B's explains how to communicate planned trips, loads, and timing. They review both contributions; a competent specialist additionally checks technical claims within the recorded expert hours.

The open sheet covers bicycle type, observation, conditions, intended use, and questions about work scope and price approval. Its sample reads: “During a ride I notice [observation]; I would like to clarify the inspection scope and obtain an estimate for approval.” These are template fields, not a technical diagnosis. Personal information is not entered publicly. Signs of brake malfunction need inspection; discussion cannot replace it, and the resource gives no dangerous repair instructions.

Both teams separately assess usefulness and commercial format before testing. The hypothesis is that different urban and touring requirements increase clarification work and out-of-scope requests. Moderators record their hours separately and refer disputed advice to the specialist. Collection lasts the same 14 days without paid reach expansion.

USD costs: editing, 18 hours × $10 = $180; experts A and B, 6 hours each × $15 = $180; moderation, 10 hours per party × $8 = $160; design $50; tools $30; coordination and reconciliation, 8 hours × $10 = $80; administrative obligations $40. Total: $720. Expert hours are not counted again as editing. The first scenario's financial assumptions also apply.

There are 110 records. Removing 22 duplicates leaves 88 unique inquiries; eight with unknown origin earn no project payment. Cohorts are established for 80: A 30, B 24, AB 26. Exclude 14 outside the area, 12 for another service, ten withdrawals, and eight failing the agreed confirmation check. Accepted: 36, comprising A 14, B 10, AB 12. None remain pending in the payable reconciliation; reasons are separate.

The hypothetical external program rate is $18. Revenue is $648, the result is −$72, and accepted-inquiry cost is $20. Under the educational agreement each party bears $36 of loss. Break-even requires 40 accepted inquiries. A 20% revenue buffer requires 50 at a maximum cost of $14.40. More raw records than in scenario 1 did not produce a better result.

Four late cancellations—one A, one B, two AB—leave 32 results: revenue $576, loss $144, cost per acceptance $22.50. Count each cancellation once. Even four additional acceptances without extra costs would only bring the original model to break-even. This is sensitivity analysis, not an expectation of additional inquiries.

Stop commercial expansion. First clarify the service boundary and expert workload. Removing the second team's hours to make the budget profitable is unacceptable. A new limited test can examine one hypothesis, such as whether the work list is understandable. Do not rewrite the losing cohort or present AB again as two inquiries.

8. Diagnosis and practical assignment

Unexpectedly large AB? Check distinct material codes and whether a shared template assigns both touches to every visit. Small AB? Check measurement capability: failure to link touches does not prove no overlap. Preserve unknown origin separately. Lost permission, an incorrect link, data disclosure, or dangerous advice requires immediately stopping the affected distribution.

Before repeating, reconcile resource quality, two valid approvals, every hour, mature statuses, and late cancellations. No commercial result does not prove the open sheet useless; usefulness does not justify exceeding the financial limit. Suspend new spending at the cap until results are verified.

Your assignment: choose an independent pair, complete the contribution card, prepare the shared sheet and two introductions, and conduct reciprocal review. Budget the project and build an A/B/AB/unknown register, identifying one commission recipient and reversal procedure beforehand. Confirm both versions, format, route, event, rights, disclosure, and reconciliation date before commercial publication.

With that specification, sign in to the AffiliateCore publisher dashboard and compare the project with currently available terms. Check a compatible offer and event separately. Without compatibility, settlement stays in the external direct program; no automatic import of its register is assumed.

Related guides cover an owned Telegram channel series, OK placements, commissioning author work, and useful forum answers. Here the test concerns two independent editorial teams and one financial outcome.

9. Sources and verification limits

Sources and platform rules were checked on 18 October 2026; links appear alongside the relevant claims. Check the specific account interface, publication format, and individual permissions before launch.

The current commercial account interface, real approvals from two communities, a particular advertiser, and an active offer were not verified. The historical author-advertising announcement was not used to establish the current interface. VKontakte rules were not researched because of established unavailability; OK rules cannot support VK launch instructions. Suggested roles, deadlines, revenue allocation, and thresholds are editorial and educational choices, not social-network requirements.
