How to work as an affiliate publisher without your own website

A website is one useful publisher tool, not an inherent requirement of the affiliate model. You can publish helpful channel posts, make videos, arrange creator placements or maintain a voluntary newsletter. The page where someone studies the product and purchases it can belong to the advertiser.

This guide builds one understandable route without website development: choose an audience, check conditions, prepare content, obtain the right link and assess confirmed results. All examples are educational and concern ordinary software. They are neither live AffiliateCore offers nor actual earnings. Platform capabilities and external rules were reviewed on 11 October 2026. Application in any country requires checking the specific product, placement and geography.

1. What a publisher does without a website

In affiliate marketing, publisher describes a role. The partner introduces a suitable audience to an offer and receives remuneration for an agreed outcome. The historical term webmaster does not require everyone to own a domain, hosting or online shop.

Separate three things. The audience consists of people with a particular question. The source is where you contact them. The landing page is where they examine the offer. You need not own all three: people may read another creator's channel, you buy a placement, and a software developer owns the destination.

A media buyer specialises in purchasing advertising; a publisher is the advertiser's affiliate partner. Buying placements means performing media-buying work too. Growing an owned channel may involve no media purchases, but still requires production and maintenance effort. No website does not mean no work or costs.

2. Where the audience comes from

Your own channel or community. Explain a specific subject regularly, attract voluntary readers and introduce suitable offers in context. People need a reason to read beyond a stream of repeated links.

Video and creator content. Demonstrate a task, a solution and an honest next step. Check where the particular format permits a working external link. URLs in YouTube Shorts descriptions and comments are not clickable. YouTube's official explanation.

Other creators' placements. You buy access to relevant people, not necessarily followers for your own account. Check topic, placement format, publication duration, reporting and affiliate-link eligibility. Subscriber totals alone do not establish product demand.

Paid advertising. Direct routing to an advertiser is possible only when both advertising-system rules and offer conditions permit it. Some systems restrict affiliate redirects. An advertiser's permission does not override the traffic source's rules: verify first, allocate money second.

Voluntary email and permitted discussions. A newsletter needs clear subscription provenance and withdrawal. A discussion needs a useful answer and compliance with community rules. Purchased address lists, unsolicited mass messages and fabricated recommendations are not substitutes for an audience.

The traffic-source map for Russia explains these distinctions further. Its geography is Russia; it does not promise that every platform is available in every country.

3. Where to send visitors: two educational routes

Direct route: useful post → offer tracking link from your campaign in AffiliateCore → advertiser's product page → agreed action. This fits when the content sufficiently explains the proposal and both parties allow the transition. A visitor does not need an extra publisher website merely to add another click.

Educational example for ordinary software: channel review → offer tracking link from your campaign in AffiliateCore → developer-advertiser website → purchase. A purchase is recorded as a conversion only when it matches the offer event and the advertiser sends the required data; remuneration depends on confirmation and terms. Use the link from your AffiliateCore publisher account, not the developer’s ordinary website address. It connects the click to your campaign and redirects the visitor to the advertiser’s landing page; a separate AffiliateCore catalogue page is not required in this route.

Preparation route: short video → detailed comparison in your channel → offer tracking link from your campaign in AffiliateCore → product page. Intermediate content should resolve a genuine uncertainty. It must not conceal the destination or circumvent moderation.

Do not force someone ready to choose through every stage. Conversely, do not send an unfamiliar visitor to a complicated form after promising a simple explanation. Product, language, price or pricing process and expected action should remain consistent. If you cannot edit the advertiser's page, choose an offer that matches the material or abandon that route.

4. Prepare before registration and spending

Write a short working brief:

  1. Who is the reader and what task do they face? For example, a small shop owner managing stock.
  2. Where is the contact: a specific owned channel or an agreed creator placement?
  3. What immediate benefit does the content deliver, such as a worked stock reconciliation?
  4. Where does the link lead and who owns that destination?
  5. Which event counts, which countries are eligible and who confirms quality?
  6. What can you spend including labour, and when will you stop?

“Any traffic” and “any registration” are not verifiable terms. Clarify incomplete offer details before placement. You may have a channel but no suitable offer; that does not mean you should advertise something unsuitable.

With the brief ready, register as an AffiliateCore publisher and examine suitable available offers. At the review date, the public registration form does not require a website address. Account requirements and individual offer conditions still apply.

5. Obtain your link in AffiliateCore

After signing in, fulfil account requirements, including email verification where required. Examine an available offer's countries, destination, payment model, restrictions and connection conditions. Its presence in the interface does not authorise every source you might use.

The campaigns section associates your profile with the selected offer. The campaign card provides a tracking link and a version with sub1, sub2 and sub3 tags. Use the link issued for your own campaign. Do not borrow another person's code or substitute the shop's ordinary URL: that visit may not be attributed to you.

The educational structure is the AffiliateCore domain, the path /go/CAMPAIGN_CODE and optional tags. This is a structural illustration, not a working link. Never invent the code. Routing depends on an active campaign, the offer and applicable checks; registration alone does not produce a payable result.

If no suitable offer is available, retain your brief and content. Do not select an inappropriate product merely to obtain a link. Existing users can sign in to the publisher account to compare conditions with their chosen source.

6. How the result is connected to you

For an eligible campaign-link visit, the system records a click and redirects the visitor to the advertiser's destination with a click_id. Confirming the outcome requires the advertiser's event to be correctly connected to that visit. Opening a page alone does not earn payment under a model that pays for an action.

Distinguish a click, a reported conversion, an accepted outcome and credited remuneration. The payable event comes from the agreement, not the button's label. Not every model pays for an enquiry; read your offer conditions first.

Switching devices, losing an identifier, unsupported routes, browser restrictions or incomplete integration can complicate attribution. Do not promise complete tracking of every interaction. Do not divide enquiries in one report by views in another if the populations or periods differ. For discrepancies, preserve campaign, time, placement and available identifiers for investigation without publicly exposing personal information.

7. Tags for comparing placements

Use short operational labels: sub1 for source, sub2 for placement and sub3 for material version. Educational values are channel, post_oct11, checklist_a. Change placement for the next post and version for a second creative. A consistent naming scheme beats arbitrary labels.

Do not put visitor names, telephone numbers, email addresses, other personal details or secrets in tags. A tag describes a placement; it does not prove the placement happened. Obtain permitted publication evidence separately.

UTM and sub-ID have different purposes. UTM can support source analytics; sub-ID can separate affiliate placements. Neither parameter creates a conversion. Use actual available reports rather than assuming AffiliateCore automatically sees views inside another platform or your contractor's spending.

8. Example: an owned channel about shop operations

The educational product is inventory software and the audience is small shop owners. Start with a concrete problem: “The spreadsheet and shelf disagree: three checks before ordering stock.” Provide the checks within the post: last reconciliation date, subsequent receipts and write-offs during that period.

Then make an honest transition: “If manual reconciliation takes too long, check whether this software suits you. The link below is an affiliate link to the developer's site; I may receive remuneration if the offer conditions are met.” This illustrates disclosure, not a universal legal template. Check required labelling for the country and platform.

The path is useful post → tagged link from your AffiliateCore campaign → software description → demonstration request, if that is the agreed event. Do not call the demo free unless the terms establish that. Do not present the imaginary software as a current catalogue offer.

After publishing, record date, production effort, available views, tracked clicks and outcome statuses separately. Views without clicks call for examining the next step and link accessibility. Clicks with unsuitable leads call for checking promise–product fit. More posts do not correct a mismatch.

9. Example: a placement in another community

Choose a community already discussing the product's problem. Before payment, agree copy, link location, date, duration, corrections and evidence of publication. Examine several ordinary posts rather than only the advertising media kit. Unusual views warrant questions, not an automatic fraud finding.

Monetary teaching examples in this edition use US dollars (USD). Figures are independent illustrative assumptions, not currency conversions or market rates. Actual transaction currencies depend on platform and offer terms.

Educational economics: placement costs USD 6,000, production USD 2,000 and checking/handling USD 1,000. Total expenditure is USD 9,000. Assume an eligible agreement pays USD 1,500 per accepted outcome. Eight outcomes are reported and six accepted: 6 × 1,500 = USD 9,000. You only cover the listed costs; this is neither profit nor evidence of scalability.

If another outcome is later cancelled, remuneration falls to USD 7,500, a USD 1,500 shortfall against spending. Applicable additional fees or taxes must be counted separately and reduce the result. At these assumptions, six finally accepted outcomes cover USD 9,000. All figures are invented for teaching, not rate or conversion forecasts.

Do not automatically buy another placement after the first report entries. Wait for the agreed review window and compare quality, cancellations and fulfilment. Define the maximum spend before launch. A broken link or false promise requires stopping and fixing the cause.

10. Check the link without generating fake activity

Verify the issued address, country, button wording and platform rules. Do not replace domains, add arbitrary shorteners or hide the destination. Some systems restrict redirects, including provisions in the Telegram Ads rules. A direct channel agreement and the official ad platform are distinct buying methods.

Arrange technical testing with support or the advertiser using an established test mode. Do not create self-referrals, purchases, leads or repeated clicks for commission. Even a checking click needs care in a click-paid model. This guide does not propose testing a live offer with fictitious payable events.

Before release, check the mobile route: the chosen format supports the link, the expected product opens and the app journey does not break. If no permitted technical test is available yet, do not claim integration was checked; obtain confirmation before spending.

11. When your own website becomes useful

A website offers more control over structure, updated comparisons and owned analytics. It may be useful for a large content library or a product requiring extensive explanation. An additional step can also hurt results if it adds no value.

Without a website, you depend on the host platform and advertiser's page. Content can be removed, links limited and conditions changed. Keep copies of your material, agreements and statistics while respecting rights and data minimisation. Do not bypass restrictions with spare accounts or disguised links.

Build a website in response to a specific gap: repeated questions, nowhere for a necessary comparison or a format that cannot support an eligible transition. A website does not guarantee demand or cancel offer rules.

12. Checklist for the first route

  • A defined audience and useful content that works without registration.
  • Verified country, product, source and direct-to-advertiser eligibility.
  • Your own campaign link; placement tags without personal information.
  • Clear payable event, quality review, cancellations and full costs.
  • Agreed permitted technical test, observation window and stopping rule.
  • No invented experience, false endorsements, spam or income promises.

The first deliverable is a prepared, verifiable route, not “earnings without a website”. Create an AffiliateCore publisher profile, match it with a suitable available offer and launch only after checking terms. Continue with choosing a first source and Telegram placements. Without an eligible offer or source, retain the preparation instead of spending on an arbitrary test.
