Muse for business: measure the value of an AI assistant

On September 29, 2026, Meta announced Muse for Small Business. Initial Muse availability is the US and Canada. Meta source.

Test a specific job

For publishers and advertisers, the useful question is how many usable outputs a team produces per working hour. The following is our independent editorial proposal for piloting any AI assistant, not a product capability or revenue promise. Check tool availability and whether your business category is supported separately.

Choose a repeated task, such as preparing a brief from approved offer terms. Complete several comparable tasks with your usual process first. Record drafting, review and correction time. Then try the assistant under the same acceptance criteria. Keep easy and complex tasks separate.

Define an accepted output

An advertiser checks geography, restrictions, permitted claims and the payable event. A publisher checks suitability for the placement, audience language and consistency with the landing page. Count incorrect commercial terms separately from style edits: polished copy with a wrong payout is not ready.

Keep a log with task, source materials, drafting time, review time, correction time and accepted/rejected status. Total time is the sum of the three time measures. Acceptance rate is accepted outputs divided by all reviewed outputs. A higher acceptance rate is not evidence of higher conversion; those are different measurements.

Decide whether to expand

Continue when comparable tasks take less total time without more material errors. Repeat the check as volume increases: a saving on one brief does not establish a saving on another topic. Advertising performance still needs its own limited test.

Next: planning a creative test.
